Old Williamsonian Cricket Club
Delighted to report that the Cricket Club has been revised to play league cricket in the lower reaches of the Kent Cricket League from May 2024. We are delighted that we will play our home games at the School.

Dear Old Williamsonians and friends,

The 39th Old Williamsonian Club Annual Veterans’ Luncheon 2024

You will recall that last year's event needed to be moved at short notice to include a change of venue and date. Sadly this meant that a number of you were unable to attend. That said, those that did attend were royally entertained at the Rochester Masonic Hall and we thank them for stepping in top rescue the event. As things stand, I am happy to announce that we will return to the School pavilion in 2024 where the catering will again be supplied by our friends, John and Tina Cosgrove, And again we will have a choice of starter, main and dessert.

The Date and time

12:15 for 1:00 on Wednesday 3rd April 2024

The Venue

The Clubhouse/pavilion at the School.

The Format

Formalities will be kept to an absolute minimum thus maximising the time for conversing with old friends.

Once again there will be a seating plan this year so please ensure you complete the section at the end of this notice stating with whom you would like to be seated with and I will do my best to accommodate your wishes.

The Cost

I am very happy to report that the cost will remain at £25 per head. Wine will be supplied.

Luncheon Menu – Wednesday 3rd April 2024

Red Pepper and Tomato Soup

Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Soup accompanied by a Roll and Butter

Or

Pâté on Toasted Brioche

Pâté on toasted Brioche served with red onion marmalade

Stuffed Chicken Supreme

Chicken supreme filled with cream cheese and spinach, masked with a white wine and cream sauce

Beef Bouchèe

Braised beef in red wine with onion and mushrooms set in a puff pastry case

(The above main courses will be served with chateau potatoes, roasted carrots, parsnips and tender broccoli stems)

It is imperative that you indicate your and your guest’s food choices for each course by completing the grid below or similar.
If you have a food allergy, please indicate on your booking form.
The Veterans’ Luncheon is open to any Old Williamsonian aged 55 and over; guests, which may include spouses or partners (also aged 55>), are welcome.
If you wish to attend, please complete the form below and send it to me as soon as possible (to include email). Payment is required with booking. If you want a confirmation of your booking either enter your email address in the space below or enclose an SAE so that I may return the booking confirmation. If you wish, and this is much easier for me, you may pay for tickets by electronic transfer into Club’s account for which the sort code is 40 36 35 and the account number 01144715. If you choose this method, please let me know.

Finally

We are restricted to a maximum of 60 attendees. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis so you will need to get your application in as soon as possible.

The cut-off date for ticket applications is 23:59 on Friday 26th March 2024
